Dimitar atelierdiankov

Dimitar Diankov is a Bulgarian-German freelance artist known for his diverse work in painting, sculpture, graphic arts, and drawing. He was born in Bulgaria and has lived and worked in the North Frisian municipality of Ockholm on the North Sea coast since autumn 2000.

In the artist's words

Dimitar Diankov studied art and applied arts at the New Bulgarian University (NBU) in Sofia. Before and during his academic studies, he underwent formative periods in the studios of various renowned artists.

Since 1983, he has worked as a freelance artist—initially in Sofia and Berlin, before relocating to Northern Germany.

In Ockholm on the North Sea coast, the artist runs Atelier Diankov, a workspace for contemporary art.

Diankov exhibits regularly on the international stage. His significant exhibitions include the prestigious Salon d'Automne in Paris, the Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair in London, and the French Fête de l'Estampe.

He has been a member of the Federal Association of Visual Artists Schleswig-Holstein since 2000.
